Hello! I am a visual artist and published poet. I was born in New Jersey and went to high school in Chicago, but I don't really claim any particular place as my "hometown" because I come from a military family and I have lived in more places than can be listed here reasonably.
A few quick mentions: I went to art school in Dallas. Texas and lived mainly in Austin, Texas and Boston, Massachusetts in the the years following.
My primary career out of school was as a journalist; both in television news and as a writer/editor for the Texas Senate—though I did several stints as a waitress and a ballroom dance instructor, not at the same time, thank God.
Feeling disillusioned with the all of the above I bought a sailboat, moved aboard, and spent 2016 & 2017 broke and tan and salty and happy. This is when I got most serious about my art. I made ends meet by selling little paintings and linocut/woodcut prints.
Eventually I committed to settling down here in the Keys. I married a fly fishing guide, bought a little blue house by the beach, and promptly filled the spare room with new and larger pieces of art. Quickly, I outgrew the spare room and needed a more professional place for collectors to view my works. Sales were great so I opened an art gallery. I had my sweet little gallery until 2021.
I now enjoy showing my works at galleries about 2-4 times a year and selling pieces online through my website and Saatchi Art.
